Book skis online, collect them in the ski resort
You make an online reservation and collect the ski equipment in your resort, from the same shop, the same equipment that you have if you rent directly... except that you pay less. Here are some good reasons to make an online reservation in advance:
Cost - make real savings!
By choosing to rent your skis in advance, you get up to 10% off the price you pay in the resort. Also, if you own a pair of skis you’ve noticed how expensive new pairs are to buy - how many weeks a year would you need to ski in order to recoup the cost? We reckon a lot more than just about 90% of all skiers. Whats more, owning a pair will mean that you have only that model to ski with for all those weeks.

Rental cost (in VIP category): €27,00 per day
- Without scaling of rental prices, the ski can be borrowed for 27 days until reaching original cost.
- As the ski rental shops do work with rental price scales, (14 days is most cost-effective), skis can be borrowed for about 39 days on average.
- Every seven days, skis need tuning (edge and wax) which costs about €25 per service. For 29 days skiing, this would add up to about €139 in additional cost that you will save by using rental skis.
Convenience of stress-free transportation
Why haul your heavy ski bag on the train, plane or car when you could have a top pair of skis waiting for you in your skiing region? In addition, have you ever tried maintaining your own skis in top condition? Hot waxing and filing can take hours. Hire skis are specially prepared after every rental to return them to top condition. The equipment used to maintain ski hire equipment has improved beyond recognition in the last few years meaning the equipment is serviced and ready to go each week.
Choice of models
Don't turn up in your ski resort and find all the good skis your length have been taken - book in advance. If you buy your own skis, there are so many types available nowadays (skis for powder, cruising, bumps, off-piste, etc.) - why restrict yourself to one type of ski when you can rent and choose a model to suit the condition in your skiing holiday destination.
